Need a last minute idea for Cinco de Mayo or a dinner party? ? I got your covered with this super easy-to-make, Party-In-My-Mouth Pineapple Salsa! (*Swipe to see some steps and a closer look at the salsa*)
.⠀
The sweetness of the pineapple is a great compliment to the spiciness of the jalapeño. Pineapples are one of my favorite fruits and 1 cup of pineapple has 131% of your RDI vitamin C, 76% of your RDI manganese, and small amounts of vitamin B6, thiamin, folate, potassium, magnesium and niacin. Pineapple is also a great source of antioxidants and its enzymes can ease digestion.⠀
.⠀
Here’s what you need:⠀
1 pineapple⠀
1 red bell pepper⠀
1/2 red onion⠀
1 tomato⠀
1 lime⠀
1 jalapeño⠀
Sea salt⠀
.⠀
What to do:⠀
1 – Slice off one side of the pineapple and then a back side⠀
2 – Cut out the middle and cut that pineapple into small chunks⠀
3 – Dice the bell pepper, tomato, red onion and jalapeño.⠀
4 – Combine all ingredients in a bowl.⠀
5 – Squeeze a whole lime over it and add some sea salt⠀
6 – Mix well and then place in the pineapple on a cutting board or plate.⠀
7 – Enjoy ?⠀
.⠀
Hopefully you’re better at finely chopping than I was ?❤️⠀
