Bruschetta Chicken with Asparagus and Sweet Potatoes.
I’m a big fan of this meal. It’s fresh. It’s flavorful. And it’s fast. If you have a grill that can take all of the chicken at once it’s a breeze. Coming in under 500 calories and with more than 50g of protein, this is a great meal option for anyone interested in weight loss ?
Your meal preps don’t have to be boring to be healthy or to help you lose weight. I would argue that boring meal preps are less healthy in the long run because they reduce the likelihood of adherence. It’s important to remember that for making body composition changes, calories come first. Adding some flavor to your meals is perfectly acceptable even if it adds extra calories. You just need to be cautious of the amounts and make sure you remain within the confines of your goals. .
One thing I would recommend with the chicken in this meal is to slice it before storing it in the fridge. When it comes time to reheat your meals, you don’t want to have a big chunk of chicken breast. It will dry out in the microwave because it will take so long to reheat. This is also why it is important to either pound your chicken to even thickness before cooking. Chicken breasts are so big these days that they don’t cook evenly if you just throw them in a pan as they come. .
