Weight Loss vs. Weight Gain with Kung Pao Chicken

I think some people misconstrue these posts thinking that weight gain is a bad thing. Not always so. I try to use these posts to show weight gain for people trying to put on mass. If you are someone who is going to try and put on some weight, here are a few tips. Before you do anything write out your plan and what you want to accomplish. If you want to put on 10 pounds that is about an extra 35,000 calories, know how those calories are going to fit into your diet and fuel your training. Anything more than 1% of your body weight gain a week is too aggressive. You don’t want to gain too fast or you will accumulate more fat than you need to. Know your total daily energy expenditure and eat more than that amount consistently. For some of you it will be hard to eat enough food. Keep eating. You won’t gain mass without it. Hit your numbers. I have a story highlight called calorie intake that might be helpful for you to watch if you need help. ⁣

Another thing I see people misinterpret is the lack of rice on the weight loss side and it’s presence on the weight gain side. Some people equate this to rice being bad, not the case. Rice is not inherently bad but if you are trying to lose weight you need to cut calories and I believe that omitting grains is an easy and sustainable rule for many to make to help do this. Can you lose weight eating grains? Absolutely. It’s about calories not composition but I believe that creating simple rules can help to benefit people!!⁣
