Burrito Bowls are my all time favorite meal to prep. I’m always excited to eat them when it comes Lunch time. Same with The Pork Carnitas. The salsas and guacamole are removed before I heat them in the microwave. I like to keep these cold because it adds a layer of freshness to the meal. The differences in temperatures helps to trick your mind into thinking the food was freshly cooked instead of meal prepped. .
Most weeks I’ll prep breakfast and lunches for Monday through Friday. Every so often I’ll do smaller preps and prep on Wednesday or Thursday. I usually have time on these days because I schedule rest days once a week on my workouts. The main advantage of prepping mid week is that your food will stay a bit fresher since you don’t have to make 5-6 days worth at a time. If you are someone who doesn’t like your food after 4 days in the fridge, schedule out a midweek prep. .
