So the other day, I was thinking what is the point of my IG account? What am I even doing on here? Besides spreading vegan goodness and showing that vegans eat more than just salads. All good things, but there is more to the story. Some of you may know that I am a survivor. I survived the death of my 2 year old daughter Carly, who died suddenly over a decade ago. I made it through the darkest days through hard work, love, and support.Since I started my account a year and a half ago, IG gave me an outlet for creative expression. IG quickly became a tool to help me cope that I never imagined possible. You see, I’m just a regular person, who happens to be a vegan foodie. I’m not a professional food stylist, photographer, or recipe developer. Quite the contrary, before becoming vegan I loathed being in the kitchen and why would I ever take a picture of my food? Life can hand you hardships, but life can also be fabulously beautiful. When you scroll down IG during your day, and see a photo of mine, hopefully you feel a little something and understand that anything is possible. Even when things are at their darkest, there is always a flicker of light somewhere. ✌?❤️•
