?New Bean Burger recipe: Black Bean Wild Rice Burgers. ?Happy Monday friends?. ?Recipe: Bake 1-15oz can (or 1-3/4 cups cooked) black beans spread out on baking sheet, at 375F until just crispy, about 15-20 minutes. Sauté 1 yellow onion and 1 large carrot (both small dice) in a little vegetable broth or olive oil until carrots just tender. Add 4 minced garlic cloves, 1/4-1/2 tsp chili powder, 1/2 tsp paprika, 1/4 tsp cumin, 1/2 tsp oregano, 1/4 tsp black pepper. Sauté another minute. Transfer to food processor with roasted black beans and 1 tbsp tahini. Pulse until dough-like consistency. Add 1 cup cooked brown rice and pulse a few more times. Return to large bowl and mix in 1 cup cooked wild rice. Add salt to taste. Let mixture sit at least 10 minutes before forming into patties. (Makes about 6.) When forming patties, add a little bean cooking liquid, or from can, if too dry. Bake on lined baking sheet about 15-20 minutes until firm and then flip burgers. Broil another 5 minutes so slightly crispy. .
