HOMEMADE PIZZA + MAPLE MUSTARD SALAD ✨ The concept of balance has been coming up a lot with my nutrition counseling clients recently, and to be honest I don’t have a “hard and fast” rule for balance, because YOU are the only one who can really tell what balance is for you. While I believe that following a “Plate Model” (1/2 plate veg/fruit, 1/4 plate whole grains + 1/4 plate protein sources) is a great way to achieve balance in our eating patterns, that might not always be realistic. But I really believe it’s what we do most of the time that really makes an impact ?? On this plate I paired my pizza with a delicious salad because I was genuinely craving some freshness, but if I wasn’t then I remember that as long as I listen to my body, it’ll all even out in the end ✨.
