Grilled King Oyster Mushrooms and Bok Choy in a sweet and spicy sauce ??
.
I saw these beautiful oyster mushrooms at the store and was excited to use the black bean sauce I had also recently bought. Shoutout to @woon.heng for introducing me to this flavorful ingredient! Hope you enjoy this yummy dish ??
.
2 cups king oyster mushrooms sliced lengthwise
4 baby bok choy
Marinade:
2 tsp black bean sauce
1 T mirin
1 tsp each agave, dark soy sauce, soy sauce, sesame oil
2 tsp sambal
1/2 tsp ginger paste
Cilantro and sesame seeds
Slice the very ends off the bok choy. Whisk together marinade ingredients in a large bowl. Add mushrooms, toss and marinate for 15 min. Add a small amount of sesame oil to grill pan or saute pan. Once hot, place mushrooms into pan, reserving the extra marinade. Cook until browned on both sides. Remove mushrooms onto serving dish. Drizzle marinade over bok choy and place in pan, cook a few minutes until crisp tender. Serve with rice and fresh cilantro if desired. Sprinkle with sesame seeds ??
