I often get people asking me if we have to buy organic, local, etc. My answer is always that this completely depends on where you are financially, personally, and your accessibility to these options ??.
My favourite way to connect with food is through growing it myself. For the past few years my summer garden has been such a source of joy, and has allowed me to have a deeper connection with the food I eat. But because I’m traveling a lot this summer, a garden wasn’t an option. Today my partner and I went berry picking at a local U-Pick and it was SUCH an amazing way to connect with food again ? You could also grow herbs or small plants on a balcony, visit your local farmers market or look into a community garden in your neighbourhood.
