Cozying up with this warming bowl of turmeric oats with caramelized banana on this chilly day ✨ I swear there’s nothing like a comforting bowl of oats, but the added turmeric brings this to a whole new level ?? I’ve been craving turmeric in absolutely everything lately, so maybe my body needs some anti-inflammatory help ? .
To make ??:
Cook 1/3 cup of rolled oats in 2/3 cup of plant-based milk (plus more as needed) + 1 tsp of turmeric (or to taste) in a small pan over medium heat. When the mixture come to a simmer, reduce and let simmer, stirring often, for about 5 minutes. Meanwhile, heat coconut oil in a medium pan and place a banana cut in half lengthwise, cut side down. Let caramelize for 5 minutes while cooking the oats. Once done, combine together and top with any other toppings of your choice – I did mashed strawberries, maple syrup, peanut butter + chia seeds.
