Who wants a bite of this falafel bowl with creamy tahini dressing? Tag a friend who loves to share this too.
Happy FriYay, my Insta friends?. Today, I’m sharing a dish inspired by my good friend, Nisha @cookingforpeanuts – falafel with a touch of chickpea flours. Yes, I ? chickpeas – it’s an amazing bean IMO.
~ 2 cans of chickpeas, drained and rinsed. Save liquid as aquafaba
~ 1/4 cup cilantro, chopped
~ 1 tsp cumin
~ 1 tsp coriander powder ~ 1 tbsp chickpea flour
~ 1/4 tsp garlic powder
~ 3 tbsp tahini
~ 2 tbsp oil
Mashed chickpeas, add all ingredients in, mix until well combined, taste and season with salt if needed. How easy is that??
Mold them into balls or patty, and brush a little oil on both side. Bake at 375F until golden brown for about 15mins, flip halfway.
Sesame tahini dressing
~ 1 tbsp tahini
~ 2 tbsp hot water (plus more if needed)
~ 1 tsp soy sauce
~ 1 tsp ? juice (optional)
~ salt and pepper to taste
Mix all in a bowl, stir until mixture blends in and turns into creamy consistency
Assemble your bowl with some greens, purple cabbage, cherry tomatoes, Persian cucumbers, whole wheat pita bread and falafel. All goodness in one bowl!?
