Toasting to Tuesday with one of my classic veggie sandwiches, upgraded with SMOKEY TOFU ✨ If you’ve been following me for a while, you know there’s nothing I love more than a good vegan sandwich ? But add some simple smokey tofu on there and I’m in absolute heaven ?? This tofu recipe comes together in 15 minutes and is the perfect addition to any sandwich, salad, nourish bowl or snack ?.
To make the tofu??:
Whisk together 1 tbsp of low sodium soy sauce, 1 tbsp maple syrup, 1/2 tsp garlic powder, 1/2 tsp smoked paprika, 1/4 tsp black pepper + 1/2 tsp liquid smoke (optional). Slice 1/3 block of tofu to be 1 cm thick, and let marinate for 15 mins. Once done, cook in non-stick pan over medium heat for 3 minutes on each side, or until golden brown, with the remaining marinade drizzled on top. Enjoy! ?
