Spicy Tempeh bowl, anyone?
.
Happy Monday, my Insta friends?. Have you tried tempeh before? My family ? this dish very much and I learned this cooking method from a very good friend back home.
If you haven’t tried tempeh before, you need to give this dish a chance.?
.
Recipe:
~ 1 package tempeh, sliced and pan fried
~ 1/4 cup raw peanuts, toasted in 1/2 tsp oil
~ 1 red chili pepper, sliced (if you want more heat, use Thai chili)
~ 1/2 cup water
~ 1 1/2 tbsp sugar
~ 1 tsp soy sauce/amino/tamari
~ oil for pan frying
If you get the frozen tempeh, thaw, pan fry and roast peanuts with oil, set aside. In a heated pan with 1/2 cup of water, add sugar and soy sauce, let simmer until all sugar caramelizes. Add in tempeh and peanuts, coat until well combined. Serve with a bed of lettuce, tomatoes and cucumbers.?
.
What do you think? Easy peasy ?? Let me know ??and have a great?#meatlessmonday
