Sending a warm hearty bowl of congee to all my New England friends tonight as we deal with some ❄️?? subzero windchill and frigid temps.

This is a bowl of chicken shiitake congee topped with salted duck egg, ginger, tofu puffs, smoked tofu, hot peppers, scallion, chili and sesame oil, fish sauce and a dash of chinkiang vinegar.

Congee recipe can be found in the link in my profile. Just substitute store-bought chicken broth and rotisserie chicken (shredded) to save time (or if you don’t eat pork!)
