How do you cope with pressure? I’m the type of person who’s gotten pretty used to working under pressure because I’ve always juggled a lot of responsibilities even back in high school. But now in college—especially in my last semester—I feel the need to perform my best while also preparing for the future. I’ve always been this really busy and active individual—I’ve been working part since I started college for a company I really believe in, was really active in org work, started this blog, maintained good grades all throughout—and I’m extremely grateful for all the opportunities that I’ve been presented with and really enjoy doing these—but in these past few weeks wherein a lot of doors have opened (something i’m grateful for, still), I’ve arrived at a realization that I’m (yet again) spreading myself too thin and taking on too much all at once. I enjoy being busy, yes, and doing the things I love but it also gets to the point when you need to take a break from it all. Anyone else feel this way? I’m becoming more aware now of the things and engagements I commit myself to and really gauge if it’s something I believe in and will learn from. I’m trying, step-by-step, to stop trying to do everything just to please people when I know it might just take a negative toll on me. It’s always been hard for me to say no to something I know I can do but I’m slowly learning. Bit by bit I’m focusing on myself and my self growth despite this part of me being pressured to have to conform to society and please other people. It’s tough but I believe it’s part of one’s journey. ✊️
