Happy Saturday! ✨ Looking forward to a relaxing day in Halifax and enjoying this beautiful weather. But first, a smoothie 🙌🏼 I’m typically too inpatient to make smoothie bowls, but this one is one of my favourites when I feel like taking some extra time ✨ I love topping it off with my homemade granola that is seriously so easy and delicious- much cheaper than the store bought ones and with a lot less sugar! Hope you’re all having an amazing Saturday ☺️.

To make 👇🏼:
Blend together a few handfuls of kale or spinach, a large handful of frozen strawberries, 2 tbsp hemp hearts, 1 tbsp flax seeds, 1 tbsp peanut butter, 1 Brazil nut (high in selenium), 1 banana and enough water to blend. To make the granola, mix 1 cup of rolled oats, 1/2 cup of sunflower seeds, 1/3 cup of pumpkin seeds, 1/2 cup of coconut flakes, 2 tbsp of tahini (or sub PB), 1 tbsp of maple syrup, 1 tsp cinnamon + 1 tsp ground ginger in a bowl until combined. Spread flat on a lined baking tray, and cook at 375 F for 20 mins (or until golden brown) mixing every ~5 mins to cook evenly. Use as a cereal or to too smoothie bowls, yogurt or as a snack! ✨
