Golden milk turmeric latte!
This warm and cozy drink is caffeine free, delicious and perfect for this COLD weather.
As you guys know I try to avoid highly caffeinated beverages (to take care of my mental health) so this drink is everything to ME!
I have been in love with making turmeric lattes for 4 years now.
Turmeric strengthens the immune system, is a natural anti-inflammatory, balances hormone levels and there are sooooo many more benefits… the list can go on and on.
As of late, I have been loving making my turmeric lattes with @Ora.Organic’s “Good As Gold” organic golden milk powder, which is packed with turmeric, coconut, and Ayurvedic herbs: ashwagandha, reishi mushroom, and ginger root. You can just add it to hot water or my fave, homemade nut milk… HOMEMADE ALMOND MILK RECIPE BELOW, tag a friend.
Homemade almond milk
1 cup raw almonds (soaked overnight)
4 filtered cups water
2 dates, pitted
1/4 tsp salt
1 vanilla bean (optional)
Thin dish towel (I use a towel called flour sack towels) or you could use a nut milk bag if you have one
1. Discard water from almonds, after soaking them over night or for 4 hours
2. Blend all ingredients in blender on high for 1 minute or until fully smooth
3. Evenly place the towel or nut milk bag in a large bowl and pour half the milk, carefully squeeze the milk through the nut milk bag or towel, then pour the rest and continue to squeeze.
4. Pour milk into glass jar and seal tight. Store in fridge for 5 days max! * Keep almond pulp to use in recipes if your heart desires ✨
