Cinnamon Sugar Bagels. These would work great as an easy breakfast or a sweet snack
INGREDIENTS
1/2 cup (50g) oat flour
2 tbsp (15g) tapioca flour
6 tbsp (80g) liquid egg whites (2 real)
1/2 cup (120g) non fat Greek yogurt
1/2 tsp (2g) baking soda
2 packets (4g) stevia
1.5 tsp (3g) cinnamon
2.5 tsp (10g) sugar
PREP
1. Preheat oven to 350F.
2. Mix all ingredients in a bowl except cinnamon and sugar.
3. Fill a donut tin with mixture. Makes 5. Mix half of the sugar and cinnamon together and sprinkle over the top.
4. Bake 13-15 minutes.
5. Sprinkle the remaining sugar over the top.
6. Makes 5. Nutrition is for each bagel. Wait for it to cool before eating. It will be better.
Note: if you want a bagel with a bit better texture use 60g oat flour, 20g tapioca, and 40g egg whites. Will only yield 4 though.
❓I don’t have a donut tin.
❗️Buy one. Or just make circles. Or just bake it however you want. It’s all going to taste the same.
❓Why stevia and real sugar?
❗️Because I don’t like the taste of stevia when it’s not mixed into something. Use it if you want.
❓I don’t have tapioca flour.
❗️Just use an equal amount of oat flour then. Or use cornstarch. It just makes it chewier and less bready.
❓That’s not a bagel.
❗️Sure. It’s just bagel shaped. Who cares though. It tastes good. You’re also not a cool person but you still exist so why can’t these?
❓Can I swap the *normal ingredient in recipe* for *completely insane ingredient*
❗️Listen here. I don’t know if you people who ask these questions think I test every single possible thing because I don’t. I test one recipe 90% of the time and that’s it. If you want to swap something your guess is as good as mine. Don’t ask me about using vegan swaps and if they will work. I don’t know because I don’t use vegan ingredients. Problem solve.
