500 calorie blueberry protein smoothie bowl! ⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀

To make the base:
– 1 medium frozen banana
– 1 cup of frozen organic blueberries
– 1 tbsp hemp seeds
– 2 scoops of your favourite organic vanilla plant protein (I used @vida_glow vanilla hemp & pea blend protein)
– 1/4 cup of coconut milk (or preferred unsweetened plant milk)
– Water (approx 1/4 cup or until desired consistency is reached)

This base is 500 calories and as I’m regularly asked I served it in a coconut bowl from @coconutbowls ⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀
Topping ideas for a higher calorie bowl:
– blueberries
– chia seeds
– coconut flakes
– nut butter, nuts or coconut yogurt – soaked oats (25g soaked oats in water is 95 calories) ⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀

Why do I love this bowl?
– It’s super quick to make with minimal ingredients. Simple means easy for you to make at home and make as a regular nutrient dense breakfast – high in fibre, protein (40g) and omega 3 unsaturated fats
– good source of magnesium, iron, vitamin A, vitamin B-6 and Vitamin C. – no cholesterol, antibiotics or hormones that are found in animal products.
