Dukkah crusted cauliflower?
Happy midweek, everyone?. We are in cauliflower mode at home these days. If you are looking for a simple snack/side dish for your meal, this recipe is for you.
Dukkah, a nut & spice blend, gave the cauliflower an amazing crunch and when paired with hummus, oh my – it’s the BEST?? Definitely a must-try dish.?
Recipe
Ingredients:
~ 1 head cauliflower, wash & cut into florets
~ Dukkah nut & spice blend (used @traderjoes brand)
~ Hummus (used @sabra red pepper with pine nuts)
~ cooking oil spray
?Batter ingredients:
~ 3/4 cup all-purpose flour
~ 1/4 teaspoon salt
~ a few shakes of white/black pepper
~ 1 cup of cold water
✔️Mix above in a bowl until well combined. The batter should look thick.
✔️Dip cauliflower florets in batter, shake off excess, and coat top of the floret in Dukkah. Place florets on a non-stick baking sheet pan. I laid a piece of parchment paper on mine.
✔️Spray florets with cooking oil. Bake florets in a preheated oven at 400F until the bottom of cauliflower turn golden brown, about 25 minutes.
✔️Serve warm with hummus of your choice. Finger-licking good and they are kids’ approved too?
